Included in your day at Ufton Court is use of our Tithe Barn, Archer’s Hall and the courtyard that lays between them. You will also get our beautiful grounds for your photographs, as well as tables, chairs and one of our fabulous wedding coordinators to help in the lead up and on the day of your wedding. We don’t charge VAT and we don’t charge corkage.
We pride ourselves on our flexibility however understand that some couples prefer a more straight forward approach, we have put together a selection of packages that offer simplicity and convenience.

Q: What facilities are there for disabled people? A: There is a step into the Archers Hall which can be accessed via a ramp. There is a disabled toilet which has a tarmac pathway leading to it, located adjacent to the car-park. This toilet can accommodated a mobility scooter or wheelchair. In the barn there is ambulant disabled toilet, this has to be accessed down a small step but has handrails either side for support. . Please speak to the weddings team if you have any guests attending your wedding who may require assistance.
Q: What is included in the hire charge?
A: The hire charge includes hire of tithe barn, archer’s hall, 6ft round tables for wedding breakfast, wooden calcutta chairs, trestle tables for top table/cake/gifts, three wooden high chairs and an easel for the table plan.
Q: Do you supply any extra items? A: Ufton Court can supply a selection of additional hire items, from garden games through to lanterns and sweetie tables. Please speak to the wedding team for an up to date list.
Q: Do you charge corkage? A: No we don’t. You can bring your own alcohol for the reception drinks, wedding breakfast and toast. In the evening the caterers will stock and run the bar.
Q: What alcohol can/should I provide?
A: We advise you provide plenty of soft drinks, especially if it is a summer wedding. Allow 2 or 3 drinks per guest for the drinks reception, ½ bottle of wine per guest and 1 glass of bubbly per guest for the toasts. You can usually get 6 glasses of bubbly per bottle. Spirits are only allowed if they are part of a cocktail, or with a tonic, such as a G&T and will always be served by a member of the catering team. Homemade or decanted alcohol is not permitted to be served as a drink or in the form of a favour as we are unable to confirm the ABV levels.
Q: Can we use our own caterer? A: No, when you sit down for your wedding breakfast, your wedding coordinator hands over site responsibility to the caterer. Our preferred caterers have worked with us over a number of years so know all our site emergency contacts and assembly points. We have checked all their certificates and credentials and they are familiar with the catering equipment at Ufton Court. They are also responsible for checking in and out all table cloths, crockery, cutlery, glassware and providing friendly, reliable staff. The caterer is also responsible for providing all food for your wedding, including the evening.
Q: Do we have to use any of your other preferred suppliers? A: As well as the caterers, if you are opting for venue lighting, please only use our lighting specialists. Our preferred supplier list is all people we know from previous weddings at Ufton Court who we trust to deliver a great service.
Q: Can we have sparklers and/or fireworks? A: We do not allow sparklers. You may, however, book fireworks with a licensed firework company. Please liase with your wedding coordinator to arrange a site visit for your firework company to do a risk assessment and show insurance certificates. The firework display has to be before 10pm and we request bridal couples choose the low noise package option with no mortar shells due to livestock in the neighbouring field.
Q: Can we hire in our own chairs? A: No, unfortunately due to lack of storage facilities at Ufton Court we have no space to store our wedding chairs if others are hired in. We also do not allow the seat pads to be changed.
Q: Are we allowed candles? A: Yes, as long as the candle is contained, either in a tea light holder or hurricane lantern. We do not allow lit candelabras as table centrepieces as these post a fire risk in our timber framed barn.
Q: Do you have a PA system for music, microphone or a projector and screen for speeches? A: Yes we do have a PA system which you can plug a device into for ceremony or background music, using an aux cable. A projector can also be hired for speeches etc. Please ask the weddings team for more information.
Q: Do you offer accommodation for weddings at Ufton Court? A: We do not offer accommodation for weddings at Ufton Court.
Q: Can our guests or our wedding photographer use a drone to take pictures during our wedding day at Ufton Court? A: No we do not permit drones to be used on the premises.
